Houston Police Officer Kirsten Koryciak received nationwide media attention after opening her heart and wallet to a Houston man in need. Koryciak was working an off-duty shift at a Walmart when a customer had a diabetic episode in the parking lot. As the man was receiving medical attention, his basket full of groceries and medicine was stolen. Out of her own pocket, Koryciak purchased replacement groceries.
