As part of HROne, Human Resources is implementing SAP SuccessFactors – Employee Central and Benefitplace. Together, they will replace the Employee Self Service (ESS) portal.

Benefitplace will simplify and optimize your employee benefits enrollment and maintenance experience by providing access to all benefits in one place.

Employee Central launched on Jan. 30, 2023 and Benefitplace on Feb. 27, 2023.

Benefits enrollment system maintenance period

• As a part of HROne Benefitplace implementation project there will be a Benefits Enrollment System Maintenance Period.
  • January 30, 2023 – February 10, 2023
• During this period, the HROne project team and HR Benefits will make final preparations to train staff for the rollout of Benefitplace to all employees, retirees and survivors on February 27, 2023.
• During this period, no benefits enrollments will be processed.
• Benefits enrollments will resume on February 11, 2023.

Benefits enrollment system changeover period

• As part of the HROne Benefitplace implementation project there will also be a Benefits Enrollment System Changeover Period
  • February 11, 2023 - April 30, 2023
• During this period the City of Houston will transform its Benefits enrollment processes from the Employee Self Service (ESS) portal to the new system – Benefitplace.
